This is probably best for someone who has an understanding of scales and modes, but struggles to memorize how to play them or all the various shapes up and down the neck. The premise of these diagrams is that rather than learning all modes up and down the neck, you can jump start your learning by remembering a diatonic pattern and starting at a different note.
If you’ve already put in the time to remember patterns everywhere, looking at this will probably make you slap your forehead, wishing you had seen this years ago. I know that was my reaction.
